Brains Before Nuts.

If you don't know an Ace from a King or you have played for years, this site is for you.
INTRODUCTION

This web site has been created for many different types of Poker players. Even if you have never played Poker in your life but was always curious, the History and Rules sections will give you a brief history along with all the basic rules and structures of Poker. After the Rules section you will know exactly how the betting structure and the order of the game works including the best and worst hands.

The "Types of Poker" section has the most material and is by far the most important section. This section will give you detailed example hands from actual games from every type of Poker. You will learn how to play every variation of Poker including Texas Hold'em, Omaha High & Omaha High/Low, Seven Card Stud High & High/Low, Razz, Ace-5 Lowball, 2-7 Lowball, Pinapple High and High/Low, Five Card Draw, and even Tournaments. All from real life example hands in full color detail. You will also understand why each player chose to play a particular hand. The examples of how the pots are split in High-Low Poker are in more detail than any web site on the internet. You can easily use this section to learn how to play any type of Poker game without having to take an expensive class or lose a great deal of money.

If you still aren't sure as to what hand would win in certain situations or when it's tough to spot the winning hand quickly, go to the "Example Hands" section. Only the winning hands are highlighted and circled.

The world of Tournament Poker has more then exploded in the past several years and is growing at an unreal rate. This is why you must include Tournament Poker as part of your learning experience. You should know how Tournaments work and how they differ from regular casino table games and home Poker games. The Tournament section will provide all this for you in great detail along with the actual Tournament structure sheets used by the casinos.

The "Bankroll" section is a must for any beginner and for any regular non-professional player. You will be surprised at how incorrectly players manage their money even if they have played for many years. You must know how much money you need to start with in any game, how much extra you should have as backup, when to stay, and especially when to leave.

Finally even veteran players can get something out of this site as well . The Advanced Players section will provide detailed examples of huge mistakes made even by very experienced players along with solutions to situations that aren't provided in Poker books.

Hopefully this web site will become your foundation in mastering the game of Poker.
