Brains Before Nuts.

If you don't know an Ace from a King or you have played for years, this site is for you

Deuce-Seven Triple Draw Lowball

Deuce-Seven Lowball consists of 4 betting rounds and five cards dealt face down to each player just as in 5 Card Draw. However in Deuce-Seven Lowball you can draw three times allowing four different bet sessions. One when you receive your first for cards and one each time you draw. Your goal in 2-7 Lowball is to make the lowest 5 cards you can with no pairs, flushes, or straights. Ace counts as the highest card, not a one. So the best possible hand would be 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. You should notice that 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 is not the best hand since that would be a straight. All the straights and flushes and of course straight flushes count against you so you can't make any type of High Poker hand at all. If you end up with and 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and someone else had the same exact 5 cards but they are all hearts, they will lose the hand by far since they have a flush and you have an 8 high. Below is an example of an entire 2-7 Low hand played from beginning to end.

EXAMPLE HAND

1st Round

Your View.

Opponent's View

This player dropped her Ace, Jack, and one of her three's for her first draw.

2nd Round

Now the Seven helped her but the she drew another Ace & another 8, so she discarded those.

From here she only had one draw left and the only bad card in her hand was the King.

3rd Round

Her final hand was fairy decent since she had no pair, no Ace, and everything was lower than a 9.

8, 7, 6, 4, 3, or an 8-7 Low.

4th and Final Round
